New Moon in Capricorn ritual

The next New Moon in Capricorn is on Thursday 7 January 2027.

It takes about 5 minutes.

In Capricorn, the new moon plants the long climb: the goal that takes seasons, not days. It asks for one commitment made soberly, sized honestly, and kept like a promise to someone you respect.

Steps

1. Clear the table in front of you. Capricorn thinks better with an orderly surface.
2. Name the one ambition you keep meaning to take seriously. Say it without apologising for its size.
3. Break off the first stone: what one week of honest work toward it looks like.
4. Decide what you will trade for it, because something must move: an hour of scrolling, a standing obligation, a maybe.
5. Write the commitment as a single line with a date, and sign it. You keep contracts. Make one with yourself.

Set a reminder in AstralRoots and it reminds you the evening before.
